Butt Lift

Transform Your Figure &
Get The Results You’ve Been Seeking

While many parts of your figure can be refined in the gym, some patients may need a little more help to achieve the shape and curves they want.

A butt lift uses your body’s fat to reshape and add volume to your bottom, instead of using implants. Donor fat cells are taken from other parts of the body, sterilized, and reinjected into the buttocks. The results are improved butt contours and stubborn fat deposits from other areas of the body are minimized.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What does the procedure involve?

Brazilian butt lift procedures rely on autologous fat transfer to enhance the rear, rather than inserting implants. The overall procedure can be broken down into three phases. During the first phase, your BHPS surgeon will use liposuction to collect fat cells from other parts of the body. While fat can be taken from anywhere, we’ve found the best results come when fat is removed from the abdomen, love handles, or thighs.
Once removed, the fat cells are processed in our office to prepare for reinjection into the buttocks.
After the fat cells have been treated, they are reinjected into the buttocks at strategic points.

  • How long is the procedure?

Since this procedure involves several different steps, the entire treatment can take anywhere from one to four hours to complete. This treatment is complex because it treats a larger area of the body. Adding the right amount of fat cells to the buttocks takes time, accuracy, and precision.

  • Are there risks with getting a butt lift?

Some of the potential complications are: adverse reaction to anaesthesia, infection and bleeding, scarring and hematoma or seroma (an accumulation of blood or fluid under the skin that may require removal). You should discuss the risks and potential complications with your aesthetic plastic surgeon during your consultation and after your procedure to ensure you are on the right track to recovery.

  • What is recovery like after the surgery?

You may not be able to sleep or sit directly on your butt for up to several weeks. It typically takes a few months to a year to heal completely. You may need to wait several weeks to a month before returning to work. It may take more time before you can exercise or perform other strenuous activities.

  • Is having a butt lift painful?

Fat transfer surgeries are typically not considered as painful, but this will depend on your pain tolerance. You will be under the influence of anaesthetic or fully sedated during the procedure and will not feel anything.

Afterwards, you will be given painkillers to manage any mild discomfort you may experience.
